Considering that it is now October, I should probably finish this series of summer trips. We arrived home from this last trip the night before school started. I was a little unprepared for the next day…as in nothing to make for school lunch, no outfits planned. I did not even know what classes my kids were in (Back to school night was while we were out of town). Put it this way, the first day of school was a little crazy! I should blog about getting pulled over with no license, or a bawling Ella with diarrhea dripping down her legs as I dropped my kids off to class. It was not a very lovely morning.
However this trip was very lovely. We stayed at this Hilton hotel along with 60ish (?) family members for the Trasmundi family reunion (my mom’s fabulous side….Trasmundi is Italian in case you were wondering).
This is the view across the street (from their website).
We did a lot of this. I was able to catch some waves with my sisters. It was a blast! Hawaii next, anyone?
Um, Kerrie (my sis), may I please have your metabolism? Or self control? Whatever it is, I want it. Thanks.
We did a lot of this as well.
Game of football in the pool…while the ladies lounged.
Hollie and Jarin poolside. I’ll take your metabolism/self control too. Thanks.
Night time activities at the hotel. My cousin Jonpaul did an amazing job planning this reunion. Everything turned out fabulous.
Getting ready for Vegas. (okay it was just bingo)
Dart tournament
“Trasmundi idol” where Norman Gentle (aka Jarin) made an appearance. I should post the video. It was hilarious.
Picnic in the park.
Crafting
Pinata fun.
A little Legoland.
We asked the hotel to recommend a Mexican Restaurant to eat at on the way home. The guy at the front desk gave us directions to a new one that just opened, but he couldn’t remember the name of it.
It was fate. When we arrived there, it turned out to be the Mexican restaurant (it had moved locations) that Thayne and I loved on our honeymoon 14 years ago…."La Casa de Bandini.” Delish.
Thayne highly recommends the Tortilla soup.
The Mariachi band is fun too. Enjoy our bad manners.

Ah. It makes me sad to see these pictures. I wish we could have been there. Oh well, I got two beautiful babies instead:) Definitely worth missing it.
Jen...for me, it's all about breastfeeding. I stopped breastfeeding Luke as soon as we got home and now I'm 10 pounds heavier and gaining. I think I'll just breastfeed my next child until he/she is out of the house. j/k. And what are you talking about anyway, you are beautiful!!!
We had so much fun on that trip. How neat that you found the restaurant from your anniversary. It looks like a fun place. You should definitely post the video of Norman Gentle. He was hilarious!
We had a great time at the reunion. It just went too fast!! I didn't get to hang with everyone enough. Jen, we will have to try that restaurant in the future. We keep trying to find a good one there. Was it in old town at one time? And yes, I agree with Kerrie, post the Norman Genle video. I want to laugh again :)
Good memories. Great times. The food at the restaurant looks yummy. I'm glad I get to see everyone again next week, even if it is short. Looking forward to it!
It looks like everyone had a really fun time. Mexican, yum.
Hey Jennifer!
So I was thinking randomly and thought I think you gave me your email when I was going private on my blog. I could be just making this up but if you did send it to me again. If you didn't ask then I look totally dumb thinking you want to see the most BORING BLOG EVER!!!!! I was hesitant to even send this but then I thought if you did give me your email and I didn't add you then I didn't want you to think anything of it. So once again...I look stupid or my mind is telling me the truth.
Your reunion looks totally fun and totally organized. And your summer was filled with fun. I'll take your summers :)
