The last trip….finally.

Considering that it is now October, I should probably finish this series of summer trips. We arrived home from this last trip the night before school started. I was a little unprepared for the next day…as in nothing to make for school lunch, no outfits planned. I did not even know what classes my kids were in (Back to school night was while we were out of town). Put it this way, the first day of school was a little crazy! I should blog about getting pulled over with no license, or a bawling Ella with diarrhea dripping down her legs as I dropped my kids off to class. It was not a very lovely morning.

However this trip was very lovely. We stayed at this Hilton hotel along with 60ish (?) family members for the Trasmundi family reunion (my mom’s fabulous side….Trasmundi is Italian in case you were wondering).

We did a lot of this. I was able to catch some waves with my sisters. It was a blast! Hawaii next, anyone?IMG_2923

Um, Kerrie (my sis), may I please have your metabolism? Or self control? Whatever it is, I want it. Thanks.

Hollie and Jarin poolside. I’ll take your metabolism/self control too. Thanks.

Night time activities at the hotel. My cousin Jonpaul did an amazing job planning this reunion. Everything turned out fabulous. IMG_2929

Getting ready for Vegas. (okay it was just bingo)

“Trasmundi idol” where Norman Gentle (aka Jarin) made an appearance. I should post the video. It was hilarious.

We asked the hotel to recommend a Mexican Restaurant to eat at on the way home. The guy at the front desk gave us directions to a new one that just opened, but he couldn’t remember the name of it.

It was fate. When we arrived there, it turned out to be the Mexican restaurant (it had moved locations) that Thayne and I loved on our honeymoon 14 years ago…."La Casa de Bandini.” Delish.

Thayne highly recommends the Tortilla soup. IMG_2961

The Mariachi band is fun too. Enjoy our bad manners.
