Anybody want some poisoned honey? It’s too bad we had to kill the bees. It would’ve been nice to have a beekeeper come and take them, but alas, it could not bee. (pun intended)
Unfortunately, we (meaning Thayne) had to cut a hole in our house and get rid of the hive. The insecticide guy said they would probably “smell” it and come back next year.
Check it out. Nice little, costly summer science exhibit for the kiddos. Thanks bees!
Cleaning it out.
Bucket-o-bee’s and honey. MMMM….yum.

Holy cow!! This brings back memories. Last year we had to have a hive removed from our roof. They filled 2 huge lawn garbage bags full of honeycomb. It was crazy!!
Oh MY!!! That is crazy! I have never seen something like this before! Glad you got it taken care of so no one got hurt. This is NUTS really
Ew. I hate bees. Ok, hate is a strong word. I strongly dislike them but I guess they are somewhat needed. Good thing you got rid of them.
That is so crazy. I guess I won't show Allie this post. She is terrified of bees. She has a recurring dream about a bee chasing her. She has it probably once a week and she wakes up crying. Anyway, I'm glad you got it taken care of.
